Ciryl Gane Joins Board of the First NFT MMA Game With ‘Real-World’ Fighters
MetaFight is the first MMA game that offers real-world fighters in the form of collectible NFTs. Therefore, this allows players to collect real-world MMA fighters, build teams and challenge other players, and guide fighters to triumph. You can even run your own gym! Further, MetaFight’s Alpha recently launched, and saw more than 35,000 games played in the first two hours. The game will be available on mobile and desktop browsers.
MMA institutions are heavily involved wit MetaFight. Partnerships include leading MMA gyms such as MMA Factory – France’s largest MMA gym. Moreover, MetaFight offers a compensation model to athletes who join the platform. Through this model, the athletes receive a share of the proceeds from the sale of their digital collectible cards. As such, rookie fighters who traditionally make low-income can receive funds through MetaFight.
Speaking on his involvement with MetaFight, Ciryl Gane said: “I have always followed closely the new technologies related to sports, and the MetaFight model has particularly caught my attention when I understood that their remuneration model could help young athletes go further in their sports passion. I am thrilled to join the MetaFight board and be part of its growth.”
We can expect to see exclusive Ciryl Gane special collectibles on the MetaFight platform soon. Also, don’t forget to tune in to Gane’s fight with Jon Jones at UFC 285 this weekend! There is even going to be a special auction, where fans can win Gane’s kit from his fight with Jones, as well as a unique NFT card.
