Ardor, a port infrastructure maintenance project by Aumenta Solutions and MSI, is based on the blockchain and uses Augmented Reality technology.
TECNIO Center EASY Research Group Aumenta SolutionsLtd., an augmented reality solutions provider for industry, engineering and architecture professionals, has partnered with shipping company MSI and blockchain development and maintenance firm jelurida To transform the port infrastructure maintenance industry. The collaboration will incorporate blockchain technology and augmented reality to provide real-time maintenance data sharing, increasing efficiency and reducing system downtime.
TECNIO Center EASY, a research group from the Spanish University of Girona, joined the INNOTEC project in 2020 to develop a blockchain-based real-time maintenance system for use in the shipping industry. The goal of the project was to increase the efficiency and traceability of industrial maintenance operations.
The collaboration between Aumenta Solutions and MSI is targeted at the port infrastructure industry, an industry with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) projected at 4.9% from 2021 to 2030. The market was valued at $148.1 billion in 2020 and is estimated to reach $243.1 billion by 2030.
Aumenta Solutions and MSI’s Port Infrastructure Maintenance Project Based on Ardor blockchain and uses augmented reality technology. Through the platform, maintenance crews will have access to digital information such as schematics and maintenance manuals. The platform will help workers identify and resolve issues in real time, improving the speed and accuracy of maintenance.
Francisco Sarrias of Jelurida Swiss SA said:
“The use of AR technology is a game changer for maintenance in the port construction and asset management industry. It allows maintenance crews to access real-time digital information, improving efficiency and reducing downtime. We are excited to introduce this to the industry and help drive innovation in maintenance processes.
Furthermore, the certification program of the project will use AR images certified by the Ardor blockchain to ensure that all work is done on-site and within the expected time frame.
“The certification program is an important component of the project, ensuring that maintenance work is carried out properly in the right place and at the right time,” says Pere Roset, Managing Partner at Aumenta Solutions.
