Founded in 2022 by alumni of Unit 8200, the largest unit of the Israel Defense Forces, Blockadd was designed to be compatible with any blockchain network. Its innovative security solution can detect malicious decentralized applications and fully emulate off-chain signatures (EIP-712S). Ben-Natan further revealed that Blockadd has successfully thwarted 1.2 million malicious transactions, saving a whopping $500 million in user funds that otherwise could have been compromised. He highlighted the proactive nature of their approach, indicating that “Blockadd improves with each transaction, enabling developers to build great products without worrying about security.”
Agreement Managing Director Dror also praised Blockade’s efforts in enhancing security standards. He said that Blockadd has taken his team to new heights, enabling them to make users more secure than ever in the Web3 environment.
Blockadd’s partnership and incognito mode unveiled
Meanwhile, Blockad’s security platform is emerging from stealth mode with several early customers, including its strongest affiliates, MetaMask, OpenSea, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) trading platform, Rainbow Wallet and Zerion Wallet. This strategic partnership marks a concerted effort by the team to provide comprehensive security solutions for Web3 applications and protect users from malicious transactions.
One particularly notable collaboration was between Blockbuster, MetaMask and OpenSea announced In April 2023. The partnership introduced an experimental feature intended to warn users when they interact with “known scams.” Users who have opted in to this feature can benefit from OpenSea’s blocklist of known scams, as well as BlockAid’s analysis of malicious behaviors such as signature farming and wallet-draining.
