E-commerce giant Amazon has officially jumped on the NFT bandwagon, at least one email sent to a customer suggested.
According to the email, Amazon has already launched some sort of “digital token” that can be stored in “galleries”. Digital tokens also appear to be something that can be bought and sold on the platform, with Amazon having the ability to lock and unlock tokens to make them available for trading.
The email states that users will need to “register as a reseller” before NFTs can be listed for sale.

Amazon has yet to comment on the news, but company CEO Andy Jassy hinted in an interview last year that Amazon finds NFTs interesting.
“I think NFTs have really started to take off […] I expect NFTs to continue to grow very significantly,” Jassi said at the time. He added that it is “possible” that Amazon will start selling NFTs at some point “down the road.”
The email confirming Amazon’s NFT plans follows months of rumors about Amazon’s crypto plans.
Several unconfirmed media reports have suggested that Amazon is working on an NFT project, with one report suggesting that it is a Web3 Gaming Initiative Where players can claim free NFTs.
Another report said Amazon working on NFT marketplace, Citing unnamed sources, the report claimed that the marketplace would be launched on April 24 and would be called “Amazon Digital Marketplace”.
Amazon itself has never confirmed any reports.
