During last Sunday, June 4, Pro-Wave Lawyer John Deaton has seen his Twitter account hacked in the midst of a series of cyberattacks over the past several days. Famous XRP The lawyer was quick enough to alert his followers by tweeting through his other account, CryptoLaw.
Responding to the hacker’s tweet from the attorney’s account, CryptoLaw clarified that the tweets were not officially from Deaton but the hackers. crypto law wrote,
“John Deaton’s phone has been hacked today after several days of sustained cyberattacks. This is not a valid tweet. His account has been taken down. He has taken immediate steps to rectify the situation. Please address this and Ignore all communications until you hear from the team here at Crypto Law that he has recovered his Twitter account.
Interestingly, the hack happened on the same day as John Deaton’s birthday. This could be a well-intentioned move by hackers to promote the legitimacy of their tweets, while offering a fake giveaway of LAW tokens.
The attorney has gained recognition in the crypto community for his strong stance against regulatory enforcement actions taken by US agencies, making him an influential figure in the field.
Hacking of popular pro-crypto Twitter handles has been happening quite frequently, especially during last year’s crypto winter. There is misinformation in the spread that puts investors at a significant risk of losing their investments.

Scamming Using LAW Token
According to Scammers, the token “introduces an innovative approach to tokenization and DeFi centered around crypto regulation and jurisdiction”.
Phishing links often entice users with promises of airdrops to established or new projects. These scams usually trick users into linking their wallets, which leads to the loss of their funds. The website for LAW Token looks similar to phishing sites and also asks users to connect their wallets. So far, there have been no reports of users falling prey to this scam or losing money.
