Artificial Intelligence (AI) is currently taking the tech world by storm with popular tools like ChatGPT and other tools gaining massive traction. To keep pace with the dramatic overhaul in the tech space, Google Reportedly in the race to update its search engine.

OpenAI has recently demonstrated the power of chatbot services such as ChatGPT, which are very capable of addressing a range of questions from users.

As a result, Samsung smartphones and other devices come pre-loaded with apps offered by both these tech giants. The NY Times report states that the talks are still on and Samsung may decide to keep Google as its default browser.
Google is working on upgrading its search engine with AI tools
To avoid losing ground, Google is working on several projects to upgrade as well as update its search services. This includes adding AI features to its existing services under a project named MAGI.
In a statement, Google spokeswoman Lara Levin said, Said Google is “excited about bringing new AI-powered features to Search and will share more details soon”. He said it would dramatically improve the quality of results by introducing new methods of search such as lenses and multi-search.
However, Google is yet to comment on the company’s talks with Samsung. Google currently dominates the market share in mobile devices by being the default search engine on both Android as well as Apple devices. Similar to Samsung, Apple Inc. Google’s deal with Google accounts for roughly $20 billion in annual revenue.
Google is heavily used to the functionality underpinning large language models such as ChatGPT, as well as Microsoft’s Bing. Just last month, Google released early access to its own version of the ChatGPT rival, Google Bard.
