Amid ongoing legal proceedings, the terms of Bankman-Fried’s bail have been a point of contention.
Recently, his lawyers struck a deal with US prosecutors allowing him to remain at home while restricting his use of certain electronic devices and apps.
The proposed terms, not yet approved by US District Judge Lewis Kaplan, would bar Bankman-Fried from using a smartphone with Internet access and limit her to voice calls and text messaging.
He has to use a basic laptop with monitoring software and refrain from using any other electronic communication devices.
As part of the new agreement, Bankman-Fried’s parents have reportedly agreed to restrict her access to her devices and not to bring any banned electronic devices into their home.
